This is just a waitlist for our "Learn to Mahj" series at Rook. If you are interested in learning to Mahjong at Rook, email us at hello@milehighmaj.com and we will notify you when a class is posted. Curious about Mahjong but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is your gateway to the game that’s equal parts strategy, luck, and addictive fun. Join us and you'll learn the basics, including: - The different types of tiles - The rules of American Mahjong (yes, there are jokers—and drama) - How to read the National Mah Jongg League card - How to build a Mahjong hand - Game flow, etiquette, and what to yell when you win (spoiler: it’s “Mahjong!”) By the end, you’ll know enough to join a game, hold your own, and maybe even become a little obsessed. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a sense of humor. We'll provide everything including the current 2025 NMJL card for you to take home.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy – Learn to Mahj We get it—plans change! If you need to cancel your spot in a small group Mahjong lesson, please let us know at least 7 days in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the lesson are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a friend or Mahjong-curious neighbor. In the rare case that we need to cancel or reschedule, you’ll have the option to receive a full refund or apply your payment toward a future class. Thanks for understanding and helping us keep the tiles clacking smoothly!
