Mile High Mahjong
Mile High Mahj was created to bring Denver’s Mahjong lovers (and the Mahjong-curious) together. Founder Kim Ruvolo fell hard for the game—OK, became obsessed—but quickly realized it was hard to find games. So, she decided to change that.

Now, Mile High Mahj aggregates existing events around the city, and also hosts their own open plays, fun events, and city-wide meetups, plus offers private and group lessons for anyone wanting to learn. Because the more people who learn to play, the more tile-slinging fun we all get to have.​
Kim Ruvolo
Not long after Kim picked up her first Mahjong tiles, she joined a local league—and her team took first place. By the second season, she was one of the top scorers and already teaching family and friends how to play. It didn’t take long to realize: she was hooked.

Cumulatively, Kim has lived in Denver for 15 years with time also spent in K NYC and Los Angeles, working with some of the country’s most iconic lifestyle brands like Equinox, Marriott, and JetBlue. She now brings a touch of that big-city flair to Mile High Mahj—blending East Coast energy, West Coast cool, and Colorado community vibes.

When she’s not slinging tiles, you’ll find her skiing, hiking, playing pickleball, or enjoying the outdoors. By day, she’s a marketer. But her mission? To help Mahjong take root (and flourish) in the Mile High State.
