Open Play at Briar Patch 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. $6 for open play to kick off our new venue! Join us at Briar Patch in Congress Park for a friendly social game of Mahjong. Briar Patch serves brunch on Fridays with mixed menu of breakfast and lunch items along with coffee and cocktails. Bring your 2026 NMJL card and join us for two hours of fun among fellow mahjong enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome, but attendees must already know how to play American Mahjong and be familiar with NMJL rules, as no instruction will be provided at this event. CANCELLATION POLICY CANCELLATION POLICY As you know, in Mahjong it's important to have a full house and we work very hard to make sure our tables have four people. We allow cancellations and refunds 7 days prior to the event. After 7 days, there are no refunds. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event or do not show up for the event, there is a fee of $20. As you know, in Mahjong it's important to have a full house and we work very hard to make sure our tables are full. We allow cancellations and refunds 7 days prior to the event. After 7 days, there are no refunds, but you may receive a credit for a future event. If you cancel 48 hours before the event your credit is forfeited and there is no refund. If you no show, (rsvp but do not show up and do not notify us that you can't come) there is a fee of $20.
